Joint meeting of the Committee on the development and standardization of telecommunications of Communications and Information Agency of Uzbekistan has taken place

Employees of SUE «UNICON.UZ» took part in the meeting of the Committee on the development and standardization of telecommunications of Communications and Information Agency of Uzbekistan, which was held on January 19.

Within the meeting were discussed the following issues: progress reports on R&D works executed by UNICON.UZ on the preparation of contributions of Communications Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan to World Conference of International Telecommunications (WCIT) and World Assembly of Standardization of Telecommunications (WAST).

At these major international events that will be held in November of this year in Dubai (UAE), important decisions will be taken concerning the revision of International Telecommunication Regulations and future work of Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T).
 
At the joint meeting of CIAUz Committees the implementation of a regional project "Sustainable electricity supply of telecommunications facilities in rural and remote areas" executed jointly by JSC «Uzbektelecom" and LLC "ATET-M" according to the decision of WTC-10 (Hyderabad, India) has been reported as well.
 
On the all discussed issues the relevant decisions have been taken.
